Directions from Sturdies Bay to
the Sands of Morning Beach:

1.
Take Sturdies
Bay Road from the Sturdies Bay Ferry Terminal. |
| 2.
Turn right onto
Porlier Pass Road (just after the Hummingbird Pub and just before the
Daystar Market and Corner Store). |
3.
Turn right onto
Ellis Road at the bottom of the hill. Stay on Ellis past the golf
course, Linklater Rd. and Harper Rd.

Turn right at the
sign for the Sands of Morning Beach, at the bottom of a hill, just to
the left of the beach access. |

Getting to Galiano Island: |
Ferry
Most people take BC Ferries
to Sturdies Bay, Galiano Island, from Tsawwassen (south of Vancouver on
the Mainland) or Swartz Bay (north of Victoria and next to the Airport
on Vancouver Island). Click here for directions
to Tsawwassen or directions
to Swartz Bay. You may drive aboard the ferry, but vehicle reservations are highly
recommended during the summer months.

Plane
You may also fly
to Montague Harbour, Galiano Island, on Harbour Air
Seaplanes from downtown Vancouver or the Vancouver Airport
(Richmond) or SEAir Seaplanes
from Vancouver Airport (Richmond).

Water taxi
The Gulf Islands Water
Taxi
provides service for foot passengers and cyclists between Sturdies Bay,
Galiano Island, and Ganges Harbour, Salt Spring Island. |
